Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 16: First time in the history of SKUAST-J, the elections for Class Representatives (CRs) of Undergraduate Programmes were held in SKUAST- Jammu campus in which eight CRs were elected through democratic process. Only those students who were possessing identity cards were allowed to cast their votes. The participating students were quite enthusiastic during the whole election process in which more than 60% students cast their vote via secret ballot/head count Gurminder Singh, Vishal Kumar, Imran Rashid and Divyansh Verma were elected from first, second, third and fourth year of BSc. (Ag.) Hons respectively while Arshi Sharma, Himanshu Saraswat, Jaspreet Singh and Gurpraise Kour were elected from first, second, third and fourth year of BSc Biotechnology respectively. Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. R.M. Bhagat congratulated the elected CRs and also thanked the varsity staff in making this whole exercise successful. The election was conducted under the supervision/guidance of election committee comprising of Professor Susheel Sharma, Head Division of Agricultural Engineering, Dr Devinder Sharma, Asstt. Professor, Division of Entomology and President Teaching Association Dr. Vikas Sharma. |
