JAMMU, Oct 30 : District Jammu today emerged as overall championship in the inter-district state level fencing tournament held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Reasi.
In the concluding function, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi presented a cultural programme which was appreciated by the distinguished gathering.
The prizes were given away to the winners of this three-day competition by SSP Reasi, Sujit Kumar, who was chief guest. Chief Education Officer, Vinod Kumar Soni and District Sheep Husbandry Officer Reasi, Dr HS Rana were guests of honour.
Prominent among others present were Indira Khosoo, DySP, Mohan Lal Sharma, Principal Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi, PD Sharma, Headmaster HS Kambal Danga, Romail Singh, OP Sharma and Manohar Lal as also Shotu Lal Sharma and Kuldeep Gupta.
Meanwhile, international fencer and a student of Government Polytechnic, Vansh Mahajan, who represented Jammu district, was presented a cash prize of Rs 5000 by the DYSS. |
