JTC holds meet | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 30: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President which was attended by the office bearers and members. While addressing Shadi Lal Pandita expressed grave concern over the decision of the coalition Govt. for issuing Ration slips on monthly basis to the Migrants under Relief category which will put the migrants in great inconvience as first they will have to get ration slips from the Relief Zones and then procure ration. This system will prove costlier for the migrants in to and fro journey as also this process is likely to boost corrupt practices. He demanded the Government revoke this order and ration slips be provided to the relief holders as per past practice Pandita alleged that thousands of ration cards have been issued fraudulently to such beneficiaries who have never migrated from Kashmir valley but did manage to obtain ration cards by fake and fraudulent means and demanded that Crime branch and Vigilance Organization must initiate action for getting such delinquent ration card holders identified for immediate cancellation otherwise the Committee will approach the court against such malpractices. The Committee also demanded issuance of RBA certificate to such migrant youth who belong to reserved backward areas of Kashmir Valley. |
