| Corruption charges framed against Patwari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: Additional Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Kishore Kumar today framed charges u/s u/s 5(2) of J&K PC Act and S. 4(A) of J&K PC Amendment Act against Dinesh Singh then Patwari Top-Sherkhania.
After hearing Senior PO Ajay appearing for the VOJ whereas Adv KS Charka appearing for the accused person, the Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu Kishore Kumar observed that perusal of the charge sheet, the statement of the prosecution witnesses u/s 161 and 164-A of CrPC seizure memos, written complaint of the complainant besides the other material available on file proves to the satisfaction of the court that the accused is prima facie involved in the commission of offences 5(2).
The court said that there is sufficient material available on record to presume that accused has prima facie committed the above stated offences.
According to the challan presented by the VOJ against FIR No.15/2013 u/s 5(1) (d) r/w section 4-A P.C. Act 2006 against Dinesh Singh s/o Balwan Singh of Khor Deonia, R.S Pura Jammu the then Patwari Halqa Toph Sherkhania, Jammu for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.5000/- from the complainant Vijay Kumar s/o Dhamuli Ram of Sarwal Colony, Jammu.
After completion of the investigation necessary sanction for launching prosecution against the accused public servant Dinesh Singh was obtained from the government further legal course was initiated.
