BMO Mendhar places six health employees under suspension

Rajouri/Poocnh , Nov 2: Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendher has suspended six health employees serving at two health centres during a surprise visit and directed them to report at Sub District Hospital Mendhar till further action.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan also has directed the suspended employees for their explanations for remaining on unauthorized absent from their official duties.
Official spokesperson said after receiving several complaints of absenteeism and casual approach towards their duties, the BMO Mendhar Dr Khan to ensure work culture in the health institutions paid surprise visits to some health centres at Nakamagari, Khanetar, Achhad and Mankote.
"At Nakamagari health centre Mohd Rafeeq and Mohd Rashid both Nursing Orderly (NOs) and Mohd Rashid a safaiwala were found on absent from their duties in an unauthorized manner while at Khanetar health centre , Neelam Kumari, Nafasit Amin both FMPHWs and Faiz Ahmed, pharmacist were found absent from their duties during the surprise visits, official spokesperson added.
He said that BMO Mendher Dr Khan taking strong notice of unauthorized absenteeism placed all the six employees under suspension on spot and directed them to report at Sub District Hospital at Mendhar. He also sought explanation from the erring employees.
Meanwhile keeping in view the significance of health care in remote areas, the BMO Mendhar also issued on spot order replacements against the six vacancies so that health care may not suffer. He also sought explanation from one Shagufta Begam in-charge Nakamagari Health Centre for poor monitoring of the health centre.
During is visit to Mankot and Achad Health Centres, BMO Dr Parvaiz found the satisfactorily functioning of health care services and due presence of the staff. However, he directed the staff members to follow punctuality, dress code and to provide better health facilities to people especially to senior citizens and warned the defaulters of stringent action.
