Local residents of Mansar hold protest 11/3/2015 12:20:31 AM Early Times Report Samba, Nov 2 : The Local residents of Mansar today held protest demonstration and blocked the Samba-Mansar and Udhampur road at Mansar against the bad condition of the road which has become now worst slowly for failure of the concerned authorities to plug the potholes and blacktopping of road. The protesters led by Beopar Mandal President, Vijay Gupta gathered at Bus Stand in Mansar and raised slogans against the concern authorities for their recklessness to repair the badly damaged road since years. A large number of vehicles were stranded for nearly seven hours following the protest. Big potholes have developed between Nud to Mansar and Battal road in the absence of any repair, which is leading a lot of inconvenience to the thousands of commuters passing through the road including the tourists visiting Mansar Lake,he added. The protesters demanded immediate repair of the road and did not lift the blockade of road till DSP Headquarters Samba , Virender Singh Katal along with the Tehsildar Majalta, Sourav Sharma and other officials reached the spot and pacified the protesters.
