AIJMS takes stock of problems | | | Early Times Report Nowshera Nov 2: All India Jat Maha Sabha-Jammu & Kashmir President ManMohan Singh visited a number of Jat Community hamlets in Tehsil Nowshera to take stock of the problems faced by the community residing along the Indo-Pak border While giving hearing to the problems in different meetings, the President was shocked to hear that Jats are living across the fencing along the Indo - Pak border in Nowshera in sordid conditions akin to prisoners because they get trapped between the Indian fencing of Indo- Pak border and “No man Land” during night and cross border firing. People have to reach their homes and village by crossing various fencing security gates manned by Army which is very uncomfortable and embarrassing. After hearing their difficulties , he took over this matter with Dy. Com. Rajouri for redressal of their grievances. Manmohan Singh appealed the PM Narendra Modi who is visiting the state to direct the concerned authorities to make arrangements for shifting of border fencing on the actual border line or to compensate those border residents whose lands have become unproductive from the last 15 years due to border fencing.
