Polytechnic Colleges of Chenab Valley sans infrastructure: Mehran Anjum | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 22: Though Chief Minister and Technical Education Minister stressed for modernization of education scenario of J&K but the technical colleges particularly at Chenab Valley are crying hoarse over lack of basic facilities and infrastructure. This was stated by Mehran Anjum Mir, State Secetary National Students Union of India (NSUI) in a press statement issued here today. Mehran Anjum Mir said, 'It's a frequent phenomenon that the students of Polytechnic colleges in Chenab Valley lament before concerned authorities to provide infrastructure but it seems that State Ministry of Technical education has shut down its eyes and pushing the future of the students into dark'. He said the technical college of Chenab valley running without the basic infrastructure that triggers distress among students who get admission with the hope to learn and serve the country through technical education. He asked if how a student could utilize his technical education when they learn nothing from such college. He mentioned that students forced to sit on carpet in open ground as the Polytechnic college of Chenab valley facing shortage of desks facilities. He also raised various other problems being faced by the students of polytechnic colleges. Asking the State Govt to fulfill their commitment of modernization of education, Mehran Anjum appealed Technical Education Minister Imran Raza Ansari to look in this matter and fulfill the colleges requirements as soon as possible as the demands it directly related to the future of the thousands of students of Chenab Valley. |
