Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 31: Northern Command Army Commander Lt Gen D S Hooda today said youths joining militancy is a matter of concern. "Though the number is not high but number of youth joining militancy is becoming a trend, which required to be addressed by all of us," Gen Hooda said. Asserting that the security situation is stable across the State, the GOC-in-C said security forces, parents and the society at large need to keep check on this trend. He however, said in 2015, overall situation in Jammu and Kashmir has been fairly stable. "Infiltration had halved this year as compared to in 2014," he said, adding that fair amount of success was achieved in the hinterland. "Top terrorist leaders have been killed while infiltration was almost half of what it was in the last year," he said. The top Army officer however, assured that Army is ready to provide maxim support to youth and will also provide maximum support for their rehabilitation. |
