Mendhar, Dec 31: Residents of Mendhar, Surankote, Mandi-Poonch, Balakote,Harni Mohra Kallar and others areas of bordering Poonch district have decried unscheduled power cuts from last few days. They alleged that they are facing worst power crisis due to the negligence of some PDD Officials. Asserting that unscheduled power cuts have brought normal life to standstill, they said, "We are in trouble and don't understand what actually these officials want." "In harsh winters we are subjected to bear cold and darkness courtesy PDD officials while aged persons and students are worst affected, they said. "Even in last several winters, we have never faced such erratic power supply. We receive power supply hardly for few hours in a day. We appeal to the Deputy Commissioner Poonch and Power Minister to look into matter as soon as possible and take action against the officials who seem yet in deep slumber. |
