Driver among two injured in Kandni accident | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 25: Two persons including the driver of a Maruti 800 today sustained injured when their vehicle meet with an accident near Kandni some 18 Kms from Kishtwar on Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway. As per the details with "Early Times", a Maruti 800 bearing regd no: JK02P-5371 on its way from Thatri to Kishtwar met with accident near Kandni when driver of the ill fated vehicle lost control over the vehicle as a result of which it turned turtle. Police sources have identified the injured as driver Farooq Ahmed s/o of Jahan Mohammad of Gurian Kishtwar and Abdul Qayoom resident of Sarthal Kishtwar. "The injured duo was immediately shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kishtwar and their condition is stated to be stable till last report came in, sources said. Meanwhile the concerned police have registered a case in this regard under FIR No. 22 U/S 279/337 RPC Kishtwar and started its investigation. Pertinently Kishtwar-Thatri-Doda-Batote stretch of Jammu-Kishtwar National Highway is in dilapidated condition and is prone to accidents since past many years and locals demanded immediate attention from central government as well as from state administration presently headed by Governor N N Vohra. |
