| Poonch admn fails to dismantle structures on Govt land | | |  MS Nazki

Mendhar, Jan 25: The district administration of Poonch has totally failed to remove the structures raised illegally on land proposed for sports stadium at village Behra in Mendhar. Some influential families having affiliation with political party National Conference have raised some six structures on the land.
The Revenue department has been watching this situation helplessly for the last two days as no action has been initiated by the officials so far.
Though the SDM Mendhar Thakur Sher Singh had issued instructions to Tehsildar Mendhar Salam Din and other officials the other day, the action remained elusive on the part of officials.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner Poonch MH Malik told Early Times that strict orders have been passed to Tehsildar Mendhar to initiate appropriate measures to dismantle all the illegally raised structures.
"If any person does not obey the government order he/she should be booked under relevant sections of the law," the DDC maintained. |
