NCP demands subsidy for farmers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 3: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Thakur Randhir Singh today demanded from government to provide subsidy for farmers. According to press release, a progressive farmer Ranjit Singh Chib of Akalpur presented latest variety of Brocolli to Former minister Thakur Randhir Singh. Chib thanked State Agriculture department for providing subsidy and brocoli seeds on time. He further said that the government must provide the market for these high value vegetables, so that the farmers get the remunerative prices of their vegetables during the bumper production. Meanwhile, Singh said that it was very unfortunate that AYUSH which was responsible for encouraging Aromatic and Medicinal plants is in wrong hands and full of corruption and demanded from the Governor to constitute an impartial enquiry and find out the reason the person heading this department for the last so many years and doesn't know anything about Aromatic and Medicinal plants. |
