Jammu, Mar 17: Excise department Kathua has destroyed Lahan and illicit liquor, during raid in several villages.
According to press release, under the supervision of Excise Commissioner, J&K T Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, Excise Team Kathua under the command of ETO, Sandeep Gupta raided the Jerrai, Maichak, Keengdayal, Saktachak and Kundechak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation.
During the raid More than 1300 hundred kilo grams of Lahan and 12 bottles of illicit liquor made from lahan, was destroyed.
Meanwhile Excise team Samba under the command of ETO, Tinna Mahajan and ETO, Eradication, Jammu Suresh Sharma while raiding in the district destroyed 50 kgs of Lahan. |
