Favouritism, nepotism alleged in teachers' transfers at Doda | | | Abid Pampori
Early Times Report
Doda, Mar 17: In their transfers and postings in the district, teachers and masters have complained of favouritism and nepotism. They alleged that the transfers had been made in blatant violation of the transfer policy. In February last, the district administration had constituted a committee and teachers and masters with a stay more than two years at one place were asked to submit their applications for transfer. However, when their transfer orders were issued, they were surprised to find that the 'blue-eyed' teachers had been adjusted suitably while others were sent to far-flung areas of the district. While making transfers, the authorities concerned had totally ignored the interest of students. While some schools were deprived of science and math teachers, others were given teachers of two subjects more than their requirement. They complained of favouritism and nepotism in transfers, alleging that even the teachers suffering from serious diseases were transferred to far-flung areas. The employees' associations have urged the state governor to intervene in the matter and direct the concerned authorities to modify the transfer list of teachers in Doda district. |
