JAMMU, Mar 17 -Commissioner Commercial Taxes, J&K, Hilal Ahmad Parray reviewed the functioning of the Department, Jammu Division here today. Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Administration) Jammu, Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (Tax-Planning), Dy. Commissioners of Commercial Taxes and Commercial Tax Officers of Jammu Division attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes gave PowerPoint presentation and highlighted the performance and achievements of the department during the current financial year. It came to fore that the Department (Jammu Division) has registered a growth of 11.82 percent. As against the revenue of Rs. 3506.72 Crore realized in the previous year Rs. 3921.26 Crore has been realized in the current financial year (ending February, 2016).
Commissioner Commercial Taxes was informed that the department has a vital role to play in governance and is entrusted with important responsibility of collecting state revenues. He was also apprised of infrastructure and manpower issues being faced by the department. While interacting with the officers, the Commissioner exhorted upon them to make untiring efforts to achieve the targets. |
