Jan urges 'President' to check harassment of JK students | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 17: Urging President of India Pranab Mukharjee to take measures to check harassment of students from Jammu and Kashmir in other states of India, Youth National Conference (YNC) today criticised Peoples Democratic Party for adopting silent mode on the urgent issue. In a press statezment issued here today, Youth NC (YNC) Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that students of Jammu Kashmir are being put to a new state of trouble by different states on the name of undue verification which is creating a sense of insecurity among the students. "President of India as well as Governor of Jammu and Kashmir should look after the matter with proper concern and all immediate steps should be taken to prevent and check this harassment," he added. Hitting hard at Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) leadership, Jan said that PDP, which was given mandate by public, instead of paying concern to this issue is busy in government formation talks and is not even looking after this matter. "Omar Abdullah is raising the matter with other states to ensure safety of JK students instead of PDP and its leaders " Jan said while terming this silent mode as a sign of callous approach of PDP towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir. |
