Early Times Report Ramnagar, Mar 17: Police today claimed to have booked five senior JKNPP workers including Pawan Dev Singh, unsuccessfully contested party candidate from Bani, Pushpinder Singh, District Youth President, Rakesh Singh, Chanchal Singh and Vinod Kumar for allegedly rioting and blocking the main road in front of Police Station Ramnagar and and trying to damage the vehicle of MLA Ramnagar. The complainant MLA Ramnagr in his complaint lodged with police has alleged that assailants as a part of a hatched conspiracy blocked the road and tried to attack his vehicle with stones and lathis. "They also had an oil-gallon which was supposedly to be used for mischievous activities by them", alleged MLA Pathania. "The complainant further has stated attempt was thwarted by the timely, retaliatory action of PSOs of the MLA while driver of MLA showing presence of mind drove away the vehicle from the spot, police spokesperson stated while quoting the complainant. Police said that a case under FIR no 27 u/s 341, 147, 427 of RPC has been registered at Ramnagar by Police Station Ramnagar against the said assailants. Statements of spot-witnesses have also been recorded. However, as per Police Station Ramnagar no arrest was made as the accused were reportedly absconding, but they assured that accused would be nabbed soon. "This is fourth attack on RS Pathania by JKNPP activists - first one at (Battal) in Majalta, second one of at Badhole and third one of at Paldhai which left Pathania hospitalized for two weeks, he added.
