Early Times Report Jammu, June 26: Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today flayed Jammu University (JU) administration for adopting 'pick and choose policy' in conducting recruitments, transferring officials, action over irregularities, and effecting other policy decisions. According to press release, JYF president Deepak Kumar said that they were holding protests and demonstrations against the corruption and nepotism in the campus since last one year but the Governor House has failed to take the cognizance of the matter. "The scholar and student fraternity have been continuously raising voice against the prevailing misrule in the campus. The misdeeds have been exposed with evidences and the same were given to Governor House also so as to make the Chancellor aware about the entire matter. But till date, the Governor has failed to take the cognizance of the matter," he said. "A glaring example set by university administration to pounce upon low paid IV class employees for taking action over trivial and deliberately protecting delinquent senior officers and teachers is ruling the roost under the command of VC Prof RD Sharma", he said. He further said that the course of political science had to be closed down in mid-session by University Grants Commission due to negligence of its Coordinator in DDE, putting distance students in quandary for none of their fault. But due to soft corner for a teacher, VC did not have the guts to take action against him despite lapse of more than a year and varsity dispensation seems to have spared the delinquent teacher. They demanded immediate removal of Jammu University Vice Chancellor Prof Ramji Dass Sharma from the post. |
