Lawmakers blissfully ignorant of laws: Harsh 6/26/2016 11:14:15 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 26:'Little knowledge is dangerous' said Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP while commenting upon the arguments given by the BJP MLAs in the Legislative Assembly yesterday while protesting over the issue of revocation of PSA on Yasir Alfaz, the person accused of desecration of temple in Janipur locality of Jammu. Singh said that BJP MLAs created a ruckus inside the legislative Assembly yesterday claiming that PSA could be revoked only by the District Magistrate and that the Government had no authority to issue any such order. Ridiculing the ignorance of the said BJP leaders, Singh said that the BJP MLAs held the House to ransom over their flawed version of law without knowing the exact legal position on the subject. He said that even the law Minister failed to correct and inform the ignorant MLAs that Govt. alone had the powers to revoke the PSA order sec 18 and sec 19 of the Public Safety Act and not the District Magistrate. He regretted that the MLAs who make laws for the posterity were blissfully ignorant of the legal position on the subject on which they had raised a storm. "The BJP MLAs ought to have vehemently demanded the invocation of PSA against those who unfurled Pakistan and ISIS flags on Friday last and openly announced to intensify the anti India campaign, he added.
