Small Civil Contractors Association Kishtwar demands release of funds | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, June 29: The Small Civil Contractors Association (SCCA) District Kishtwar has expressed its grave concern over the delay in release of allocated funds by the government in favour of the concern departments of Kishtwar District. General Secretary SCCA Ram Krishan Sharma appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to intervene into the matter adding that lot of work components stands executed against allocated funds in PHE, R&B and National highway. In a press statement issued here today, Ram Krishan Sharma said that the work was carried particular on National Highway from Batote to Kishtwar and up to Sinthan Pass. He said that even the then CM Mufti Sayeed in 2015 also directed the concerned authorities to go through the restoration of NH1B (244 now) by way of removing of slips and reconstruction of damaged R/ walls. He said that the government should made the funds now available as was promised by the late CM while presiding DDB meeting at Doda in 2015. He said that the works were taken into hand by the contractor and completed the same on time, but even after more than one year, the clams of the contractors who carried out the restoration work are pending. He urged upon the Chief Minister to ensure the release of all pending funds well in time before the celebration of holly festival of Eid so that the labour components of the contractors may not be deprived from their joy full celebration due to the lake of attentions of the government. |
