ASKPC expresses solidarity with protesting migrant employees, joins dharna | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 30: To express solidarity with the protesting migrant employees (under Prime Minister's package), the All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) participated in the dharna with them at Relief Commissioner's office. The ongoing protest of the migrant employees under the banner of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) entered into 16th day today. President ASKPC Ravinder Raina lambasted the state and centre governments for their callous attitude towards these migrant employees who are fighting for a genuine cause as they were working under Prime Minister's package but were compelled to leave the valley after they were attacked by violent mob who tortured vandalized and pelted stones on their camps. He questioned the existence of elected government in the state as not a single person from the administration approached these employees and listened to their problems rather remained engaged in giving the false statement through DIG Police South Kashmir that no attack took place in any of the migrant camps. Raina further stressed upon the employees to display unity this time and appealed to the state and centre governments to come to the rescue of employees and demanded their adjustments in migrant cells of various departments otherwise the lackadaisical approach of the government may compel the agitating employees to take extreme steps. |
