| 8 transformers changed in 1 years in Banola | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, July 30: It may sound astonishing but the fact remains that 8 transformers have been changed in Banola village of Mendhar tehsil during one year while people of the year would have not be able to use power more than one month during a year, sources said here on today.
Sources said 25 kv transformers developed snag with in a weeks time and after replacing it with 63 kv transformer recently again developed technical snag leaving the centre area to reel under darkness, they added.
People of the area have alleged that PDD has failed to take the cognizance of peoples plight who have been suffering for the last one year for smooth power supply to the area. They alleged that we have not been able to receive power supply for a month even as 8 transformers have been replaced by the PDD during the one year now, they said.
They lambasted pathetic approach of AEE sub division Mendhar for sending faulty transformers to the Banola village which work for a shortest time hence give the people of area restlessness in perfect of power supply.
A deputation headed by Mujeeb-ul-Rehman social activist even alleged before the sub Divisional Magistrate Thakur Sher Singh that some influntials misusing their official position were used to consume power injudiciously in the area which could be one of the reasons of developing snags in the transformers. |
