Ration dealer held for black-marketing, over 10000 kg ration seized | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: Ration dealer held for black-marketing, over 10000 kg ration seized Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: Police today arrested a ration dealer and seized over 10000 kg government ration from the depot which was meant for black-marketing at Tikri Patyalechak falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana. "On reliable information a raid was conducted by Inspector Rajeshwar Singh Slathia under the supervision of SDPO Domana Surinder Kumar and SP Rural Arun Gupta in the intervening night in a shop situated at Tikri Patyalechak owned by one Rajinder Kumar son of Om Parkash of Parwa," Police sources said. Sources further said that Rajinder Kumar is a ration dealer having his ration shop at Patayalechak and during serach of shop police recovered bags of Double Apple Brand -25 kg =95 & 50kg =42, brand 555 -50kg =70 bags. Govt of Punjab Bori bags 50 kg =60 bags along with a sewing machine from the outlet. Police sources said that modus operandi of the arrested was he used to refill the said government ration into another market brand and then sale it in the market. In this connection a case under FIR no. 237/16 under sections 406, 409 and 3/7 Essential Commodity Act has been registered at Domana police station and further investigation of the case is on. |
