Two booked in alleged 'rape' cases | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri/ Udhampur, July 30: Police have booked two persons in alleged rape cases reported from Rajouri and Basantgarh of Udhampur districts of Jammu region. Police have launched massive manhunt to nab the alleged rapists who have been absconding arrests till date. According to Rajouri Police, following complaint of a rape victim a widow (name withheld) lodged with Rajouri Police, alleging therein that an employee of Health Department has committed a rape with her during late evening hours on Friday." According a case stands registered against employee of Health Department accused identified as Azam Hussain Shah s/o Nissar Shah resident of Darhali Morh in case FIR No.498/16 u/s 376 (punishment for rape) & 511 RPC. Meanwhile police also got the rape victim medically examined at nearby government hospital and other after legal formalities. "Police have also launched to nab the rape accused who went missing after committing the crime. Yet in another similar incident, a woman from Basantgarh of Udhampur district alleging rape lodged a complaint with Police Station Basantgarh of Udhampur District. Quoting the complainant, the police sources said, " a written complainant was lodged by woman (35) at Police Station Basantgarh alleging that one Mohamed Shafi (55) s/o Abdul Rahman of Basantgarh committed rape upon her while finding all alone. On receiving complaint, the Police have sent teams to different areas to arrest the accused while the victim was also sent to Hospital for medical check-up and investigations is on. |
