Baba Ramdev embarrasses BJP, asks PM Modi to retrieve POJK | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 30: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has been embarrassing BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi by accusing them of not taking any step to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks and saying that he is convinced that black money will not be brought back to India, on Saturday created a piquant situation for the Prime Minister. He asked the Prime Minister to get back POJK, which has been under the illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1947-1948. . Urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch a campaign to free Pakistan-occupied-Jammu and Kashmir, Baba Ramdev said it was about time that India took concrete steps to take back the "captured and disputed" land. "Prime Minister Modi should begin a campaign to free POJK. Nawaz Sharif has the nerve to say that Pakistan will take Kashmir at any cost. Our children look at Kashmir only on the maps, but Pakistan has captured it. When a cowardly nation captures a part of a great nation, we can't just sit silently," Ramdev told the media at Rohtak, Haryana, adding that it was time for the Prime Minister to take concrete steps to destroy active militant organizations operating from Pakistani soil. Ramdev, in fact, challenged PM Modi by saying what he said. His comparison of the great Indian nation with the rogue Pakistan state and his reference to what Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, who can't act independently, was nothing but a challenge to PM Modi that in case he didn't take any concrete step to get back the Jammu and Kashmir territories from Pakistan, it would be presumed that the BJP was not interested in retrieving POJK and Gilgit-Baltistan and that what the BJP and he said during the 2014 election campaign was just a plank adopted to mislead and hoodwink the nation. There are reasons to believe that the BJP Government at the Centre will not take any step to retrieve POJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. In fact, there are reasons to believe that it could further widen the gulf between J&K and the rest of the country by going beyond the confines of Article 370. |
