jourian, July 30: In an impressive and well attended function, an affectionate farewell was accorded to Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Jourian Sham Lal Bhagat, on attaining the age of superannuation at a function at Govt Middle School, Jourian today.
The function was organised by Teachers Welfare Committee Jourian.
Principal Govt Higher Secondary School Jourian Ram Pal, Headmaster Govt High School Jourian, former Headmaster Raghuveer Singh Jamwal, staff of ZEO office Jourian, besides other Masters, teachers from different Middle and Primary schools were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers threw light on the life of ZEO Sham Lal Bhagat. They praised the professionalism of Bhagat and said that the officer has earned name and fame by dint of their diligence, commitment and exemplary devotion. They said that Bhagat always worked hard for the cause of the Zone. He through his service career had performed his allotted duties with dedication and brought kudos for the department. They prayed for their peaceful future.He worked under different capacities in the Education Department and retiring from Government service as ZEO on July 31, 2016 after rendering over three decades of service.
The proceedings were conducted by teacher Master Satish Sharma.
Prominent among the other who attended the function were Rajinder Singh Manhas, Jagdish Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Gara Ram, Roshan Lal, Satish Sharma and others.
Earlier, the masters and teachers of Pargwal area also organized a similar function at GMS Pargwal for the retiring ZEO, which was attended by Headmasters of Govt High School Gurah Manhasan Raj Dev Singh, staff of ZEO office Jourian, besides other Masters, teachers from different Middle and Primary schools. And, proceedings were ably conducted by teacher MS Sajwal Rajinder Singh Manhas. |
