NCP welcomes CM's decision against land grabbers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: NCP welcomed the decision of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that directed all the Deputy Commissioners of the State to initiate the process of preparing dossiers of habitual land grabbers for booking them under the Public Safety Act (PSA). While addressing a meeting of state working committee in the central office, Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh said it is unfortunate no Deputy Commissioner in Jammu province have taken this issue seriously except, DC Jammu who has ordered all, Tehsildars would act before 5th August if they fail there will be adverse affect on their ACR's. Speaking on the occasion, R S Billowaria General Secretary and chief spokesman NCP said that commercialization of agricultural land goes unabated revenue departments backs High Court order in Tehsil Kathua where more than 11 brick kilns at village Chak Sakta , Barnoti and on the back of Ghati at village Dabwal the most fertile agriculture land has been destroyed by the brick kilns with the help of land mafia similar is the case in Tehsil Parole and Madheen. State NCP appealed to the State Chief Minister that the revenue authorities have not taken action against the land grabbers and want to know how many habitual land grabbers have been booked under PSA after the financial Commissioner letter to the Deputy commissioners no FCR/PSDCC/6-18 dated April 05,2016. |
