One held for selling SIM cards without due 'formalities' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 12 : One held for selling SIM cards without due 'formalities' Early Times Report Jammu, August 12: Kathua police today claimed to have arrested one person for selling SIM Cards without obtaining any record / identities from customers and without maintaining records and at exorbitant rates to buyers. Police have identified the accused as Sanjiv Kumar son of Parshotam Lal of Chak Sardar Desa Singh. According to police spokesperson accused Sanjiv was arrested while selling SIMs to the persons without obtaining any pre requisite record / identities which are mandatory for issuance of a sim card and selling the same on exorbitant for pecuniary gains. "In this the apprehension of use of these SIMs by anti national elements at this state cannot be ruled out, police said. Police said, "A case under FIR no 340/16 under section 420 of RPC has been registered at Kathua police station. Further investigation is going on, more arrests are also expected, police said. |
