MVD organizes awareness camp | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Aug 19: Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban organised an awareness programme on road safety in the premises of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today. Speaking on the occasion Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Ramban Shammi Kumar Shamra advised the students to avoid over speeding, racing, use of mobile phone while driving, wrong overtaking and underage driving to stop loss of precious human lives and asked them to take all necessary measures as well as follow the traffic rules for safe driving and healthy life. He suggested some preventive measures to minimize the accidents on the road. He asked the students to keep vigilance on the drivers' activities while travelling. ARTO informed that more than 80percent road accidents can be stopped by obeying the traffic rules. He stressed upon the students to bear helmet and seat belt while driving two -wheeler or four wheeler to avoid fatal injuries. Principal of the school Pardeep Singh Thakur thanked the MVD to organize the awareness camp and provide important information about the traffic rules. He request ARTO to organize such type of camps in future as well. |
