AMEAK continues protest on 66th consecutive day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: Large number of employees participated in scheduled protest titled as 'Shakti Pradarshan' organised by All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) here outsides side the office of Relief Commissioner on 66th consecutive day of their protest demanding due security or adjustments in Jammu in view of tensions in Kashmir. Employees working in valley under PM's package and non-package are on protest in support of their demands including their adjustment in camp offices at Jammu after they have left valley due to prevailing unrest and mob violence and release of their salaries. Raising slogans in support of their demands, the protestors criticized successive state and centre governments for not being serious in dealing with their issues. Speakers said that it is high time for the government to address the issues of employees rather giving only false assurances. "Our children are without education for last more than two months but no one is talking about them, they said. One of the speakers Kamal Pandita said they and their children were the worst suffers without any fault. Among others who addressed the protestors included President NC Minority Cell M K Yogi, Chairman APMCC Vinod Pandit, national spokesperson APMCC and social activist King C Bharti, President over aged and Relief Holders' Forum S L Koul and academician Prof. B L Zutshi. |
