Palmar locals' delegation calls on DC, Xen PMGSY | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Sept 17: A delegation of locals from Palmar Kishtwar led jointly by Ex Sarpanch Manoj Kumar and Social activist Thakur Prithvi Singh today called on Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan and Executive Engineer PMGSY Kishtwar Mohammad Ashraf Gilkar to apprise about the problems being faced by them. While interacting with Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, the delegation appraised him about the poor condition of Bandarkoot-Palmar, Palmar-Rakna and Palmar-Badran road and sought his intervention of towards these public important roads The delegation also informed the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar that the contractor engaged for black topping of these roads should follow the proper procedure of maintaining the road surface before going for the black topping. Locals said that due to poor road connectivity the population of over 30000 souls is facing a lot of miseries. DC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan gave a keen ear to the grievances raised by delegation and assured them that all the issues raised by them will be looked into and further assured them that no substandard work of blacktopping or any other work will be allowed added that he will personally monitor the progress of the blacktopping of roads. Meanwhile resident of Sigdi Mughal Maidan of Kishtwar also raised the issue of poor road connectivity of Kishtwar-Sigdi and Sigdi-Mulchateer road and urged upon the government and the administration to look into the matter so that quality work could be maintained. Meantime Executive Engineer PMGSY Kishtwar Mohammad Ashraf Gilkar also listened to the issues and problems of the people keenly and assured early redressal of the issues. |
