MPEJ hails education department's interest in streamlining education | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: While reacting to the news published in a section of press dated 17-09-2016 regarding modification of criteria for extension in affiliation/ recognition of private schools, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Ram Singh Chouhan & Gurtaj Singh members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice, in a joint statement issued here have strongly hailed the positive approach of education department particularly Education Minister- Naeem Akhtar who is honestly leaving no stone unturned in streamlining the derailed system in the department. They further urge upon the Education Minister to issue recognition orders in favour of those private schools that are functioning for last more than ten years at the time of issue of above mentioned modification order and in favour of those schools whose, affiliation order has been issued for 3 years only instead of 5 years in a meeting held on 25-07-2016 in the BOSE campus Rehari Colony, Jammu, which are functioning last more than ten years. Similarly, the release said that SRO 123 of Education department need also be withdrawn /modified because it is not practical at all and is violently discriminatory vis-à-vis Government schools & Private schools. In order to avoid harassment to the private schools, the order approved by the state affiliation committee in BOSE, headed by Commissioner /Secretary Education department with regard to extension in affiliation/ recognition to Pvt. schools need be uploaded on 'Net' to bring transparency in issuing Government order for recognition from Civil Secretariat, the release said. |
