JKPSA holds meeting, discusses problems | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: A meeting of JK Private Schools Association was held in the premises of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School Jewan Nagar Jammu under the chairmanship of Prof J.L. Kotwal Chairman PSA J&K in which a number of heads of Private schools from all the Districts of Jammu Province & Executive members of the central body participated. The meeting started with the welcome speech of Ajay Gupta, General Secretary of J&K PSA concluded with vote of thanks by Rameshwar Mengi V. President of J&K PSA. In the meeting Ajay Gupta briefed all the stakeholders about the current policies and new orders of state government made on the flimsy grounds. He briefed to the august house that Education Authorities of District Ramban are forcing the Private schools of District Ramban to deposit School Improvement Fund (SIF) and Admission fee with the education department as per the rate fixed by the government for the students reading in the government schools. Some blackmailers are sending applications under RTI acts to Private schools functioning in the far flung areas and demanding money from these Private schools, although these schools are rendering yeomen service for the benefit of the society obeying all the genuine rules prescribed by the state government, he added. |
