122nd Birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh celebrated across | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 23: Bahu Fort Development Committee celebrated 122nd birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji at Maha Raja Hari Singh Chowk Opposite Police Station Bhag-E-Bahu, Bahu Fort Jammu where statue of Maharaja Hari Singh is installed. Rajeev Charak said that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji was the last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir State. Charak highlighted his views on the achievements of Maharaja and his life he said Maharaja Ji made many social reforms about 100 years back which are very important and useful even today for the general public. Charak also stated that Maharaja Sahib was an epitome of good governance which allowed the people to live their life respectfully and peacefully. Rajeev Charak also added that Maharaja Ji in order to bring equality and to abolish untouchability he allowed the entry of Scheduled Castes in the temples. Charak added that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji finally acceded to the State of Jammu and Kashmir with the dominion of India on October 26, 1947 without any condition. Amar Kashatriya Rajput Sabha Samba organized a Car/Motorcycle rally which was organized by the Rajput Sabha Samba on the eve of 122nd Birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji. The rally which was started from Veer Bhoomi Park Samba and Passing through all Mandies ,Chohta Chowk, Hari Singh Chowk, Link road,National Highway and culminated at Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's Samarak at Rajput Sabha Samba. A Part from the general Rajput community, the rally was attended by prominent dignitaries. Earlier, the members of Rajput community including youth gathering where most of them were seen in their traditional dresses wearing pyjama kurtas and Kesri pagri (Turban) on their heads. They were chanting slogans like Jai Rajputana, Maharaja Hari Singh ji Amar rahein.
