Symposium on Guru Gobind Singh held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Anand Nagar , Jammu today organized a Symposium on Guru Gobind Singh Ji and eminent Kashmiri Human Pandit Shrey Bhat who changed the mind of Sultan Zainulabuddin in stopping the mass murder of Kashmiri Hindus. The defining part of the function was participation of the children from class 6th to class 12th in the symposium. The young participants threw light on the various facts of the lives of the two great men who defined the Indian ethos with their sacrifice and commitment to universal values. Thirty students participated in the symposium. Noted scholar and thinker Dr K N Pandita was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof N K Dhar and columnist Shiben Khaibri were also in the presidium. The chairman of the Kendra Prof T N Shalla gave a resume of the activities of the Kendra and informed that apart from taking up cultural activities and promoting computer literacy, a medical aid centre will soon be started in the Kendra. Prof Sandeep Pandita , Prof Suresh Bhat and Prof Nirojni Bhan comprised of the panel of judges of the symposium. On the occasion students who had excelled in the Sharda Jnan Prityogita on Abhinavgupta and in which six hundred and thirteen students of 16 schools had participated were facilitated on the occasion with books , mementoes and certificates. Cash prizes were given to participants who got first three positions in the symposium. While speaking on the occasion Dr K N Pandita lauded the efforts of the Kendra in making the young generation aware of the history and culture of the country. |
