Jammu, Nov 20: A female political worker has allegedly taken law into her hands by thrashing a man who had reportedly sent an "obscene" message to her on a social networking site.
The video of the activist thrashing the accused has gone viral on the social networking sites.
Sources said the female activists with the assistance of police located the house of the accused and "taught him a lesson," for trying to be over smart.
"The activist along with some of her associates barged into the house of the accused and thrashed him," said a source adding that she also instructed her associates to make a video of the thrashing incident, which was later posted on the internet and it went viral.
Terming it a publicity gimmick, a police officer pleading anonymity alleged that even if something inappropriate had happened with her she should have informed the police instead of taking law in her hands. "After beating him she went step ahead by posting the video of the incident on the internet to gain cheap publicity," the police official added. |
