DDC asks SSP to lodge FIR, XEn PWD suspends JE 10 Km road stretch damaged in cable laying 11/20/2016 10:48:33 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, Nov, 20: Taking strong note of damage caused to the 21 km stretch of Mendhar-Suran road by cable laying agency near Jaranwala Gali upon 10 kms, district Development commissioner asked SSP Poonch to lodge FIR against the contractor and ordered XEn PWD Poonch to suspend JE allegedly being in hand in glove with the said contractor, sources said here today. Kiker Morh to Jaranwala Gali in Gursai area the 10 km road stretch has been badly damaged by cable laying private telecom agency using the JCB machine for digging. The norms have been thrown to winds while digging the road for lying cables no machine is allowed to be used inspite manual digging is carried out official sources said, adding the contractor liyaqat Chowdhary in connivance with A JE PWD Sub Division Mendhar who have also obtained a fake NOC from PWD while the said rod come under PMGSY Division Mendhar, they added. People of the area have rued that blockades on the road cause inconvenience to students, patients besides the commoners but the said contractor was unmoved. They said a complaint was given some piece of sense. Transporters also expressed their resentment on the conduct of work being carried out by the agency which only troubled them, they further said. Taking the cognizance of matter District Development Commissioner MH Malik asked SSP Poonch JS Johar to lodge FIR against the said contractor and directed Xen PWD Poonch to suspend the concerned JE with an immediate effect and attach him with his office, he said.
