Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 9: Bhairav Jayanti celebrated here with religious fervor and gaiety in Jammu. A Prabhat Pheri was taken out on this morning by the devotees of Kaal Bhairav as part of the week-long Bhairav Jayanti celebrations, in which large number of disciple of lord Shiva and Parvati) participated. The Prabhat Pheri which passed through various parts of the old city besides famous temples including Mahalakshmi temple (Pacca Danga), HanumanTemple at Moti Bazar, Ranbireshwar Temple at Shalamar, Hanuman Temple, Ram Mandir (Purani Mandi), Radha Krishan Temple (Panjtirthi), Gurudwara (Panchayati) Upper Bazar and again culminated at Kaal Bhairav Temple. Speaking on the occasion, Priest of the Bhairav temple, Pandit Rumil Sharma said that Kaal Bhairav jayanti falls on November 22, 2016. He further said that the purpose behind taking out the Prabhat Pheri was the same Lord Vishnu had taken complete earth in three steps from King Bali in reincarnation of Vaman Avtaar. "Bhairav Jayanti will be celebrated at Dhounthli Bazar temple with devotion and enthusiasm which will be marked by a massive Bhandara", he said, added that a day earlier, on November 21, Pooja Archana will begin in the night long ceremony to invite Devtas in the Bhandara. He asked the people to lit a Diva outside their main entrances in the evening from 20th, 21st & 22nd November to get rid of all types of problems. He also invited people from all walks of life to take part in the Bhandara. Later on, a bike rally was also organized by Bhairav Mandir Trust in collaboration with Reliance Motors, Jammu, this year. Danish Rana, IG Jammu Police, has flagged off the bikers rally. The bike rally started at 11 am from Bhariav mandir and covered different parts of Jammu city i.e. Bhairav Mandir to Kachi Chawni, Jewel (via Prade & Shalamar), Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Channi and Back to Bharav Mandir. There were 100-150 bikers who have participated in the bikers rally. A small bhandara was also organized by Bhairav MandirTrustfor devotees and bikers. |
