Benefits given to health officials, school education department denied | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 20: The monthly meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum was held today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, District President of the Forum. In the meeting, the speakers had a threadbare discussion on the various issues pertaining to the Plus 2 Cadre. They said that the officers of Health and Medical Department and Professors in the Higher Education Department have been given the benefit of running pattern whereas the same is denied to the lecturers and officers of School Education Department. They demanded that the benefit of running pattern be also extended to the officers of Plus 2 Cadre at the earliest. They also demanded the adjustment of surplus lecturers and review and suitable posting of the lecturers transferred against the post of other subjects. They also demanded that the in charge incumbents in the School Education Department be regularised at the earliest and the Question Papers for the exams conducted by JKBOSE, be supplied to the Superintendents at the Examination Centres. They demanded that the date sheet for the conduct of first Terminal Test in summer zone and second Terminal Test in Winter zone be issued at the earliest for the timely conduct of these exams. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Sharma appreciated the participants for their views and urged the government to consider the issues raised by the members and take urgent steps to redress them.He also demanded that the orders for the sanction of earned leave in favour of those Principals, lecturers, Masters, teachers etc. who conducted extra classes during summer vacation, be issued at the earliest. He also urged the government to concede other long pending demands of the Plus 2 Cadre, such as restoration of 40% promotional quota, regularization of all In charge incumbents in the School Education Department, up gradation of the post of lecturer in Physical Education, enhancement in the Grade Pay of Principals and declaration of their post as non vacationaletc. He appealed to all the members to remain united to strengthen the Forum.
