Samba Nov 20: In order to highlight demand of removing pay anomaly, protest demonstration was held today and demanded that cashless health policy be provided to the retired police personnel on the pattern of army and other paramilitary force, 15% quota be reserved for the police personnel in professional courses. At least 50,000/- should be sanctioned at the time of retirement of police personnel for performing last rites in case of death of retiree. Recently the central Govt.has Issued ordinance regarding One Rank One Pension. The state Govt. should also follow the same pattern in police department. The same grade pay anomaly has continued. The junior constable when comes in time bound ,their grade pay comes to 2400/- whereas the SGCT when he comes to time bound gets Rs. 2300/- This ist injustice for SGCT which needs to be removed. No welfare facility is available for NGOS either at Jammu or Srinagar, whereas for GOS the mess facility is available. The Finance Department sought cllarification from the Director General of Police regarding the pay anomalies to retiree ASI and head constables. The Office Of Director Of Police informed about the amount 5,93,25,000.00 vide office letter No. Estt-G-21/2014/10-14- 15, DATE 17/2/2016 addressed to Principal Secretary Home Deptt. J&K Jammu The said amount may very kindly be released in favour of retired ASIs and H/CS. 7th pay commission may very kindly be implemented in favour of J&K State employees like other State. All the Distt. Presidents are informed to protest on 5th Dec. 2016 at their respective Distt. Head Quarters/ Deputy Commissioner Head office. The following members were present in the occasion Distt.
