"Fee-free education for state girls a bold decision" | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: Decision of the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for fee-free education for state girls is a bold decision and AIBCU hailed it with congratulation to all the state school going girls. This decision will encourage the girl students for actively receiving education. This step is more helpful to the girls belonging to families which could not afford education to their children because of poor economical conditions will prove a blessing for them. Besides, to improve the standard of education, this step is not enough if the school children suffer because of shortage of faculty members. At present number of posts of teachers-masers Headmaster and especially lecturers and principles are lying vacant and this hampers the natural flow of education to the children even if they would make their school entries. In addition to it there should be discrimination free education to the children. The syllabus and books below secondary level are not in tune in all the state schools. Private Schools / Convent School and Govt. schools have different books and different syllabus thus create a great gap between the Govt. School going children and Private Schools children and at the time of competition all are measured with the same yard stick, a total chaos. This discrimination should be checked and stopped by stopping the privatization of the education system in the state. All executive members including Bangotra (retd CEO) and Kali Dass shared their views. |
