Malik's new mission | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: The so-called chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Yasin Malik after coming out of jail is leaving no stone unturned to glorify terrorism and terrorists in Kashmir. Addressing a gathering at Tral in south Kashmir on Monday, Malik said, "Burhan was a smart fighter with a political approach. He shook entire India even after his death through his messages on social networking sites." A Kashmir watcher said, "It seems after plunging Kashmir into quagmire of uncertainty for more than four months, now Malik and his associates have been assigned the job by their masters to provoke the youth to take up the gun. Malik is working on the new assignment." Malik, who is considered to be the mastermind behind the present unrest in Kashmir, has been instrumental in pushing Kashmir to edge. "Malik's close links with Lashkar terrorists are known to everyone and it has been established beyond doubt that Malik at the behest of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) has been calling shots in Kashmir. His henchmen have been organizing protests, stone pelting and other disruptive activities," the Kashmir watcher added. He said when Malik was released from jail for the first time after three months, he announced at a press conference that 20,000 Kashmiri youth are ready to take up the arms but Pakistan has refused to provide them with the weapons. "Malik is openly acting as the agent of terrorists in Kashmir and by trying to glorify terrorism, terrorists and gun he has proved beyond doubt that he is on a mission to ensure that Kashmir keeps on burning," he added. It's in place to mention here, the most wanted terrorist in India and chief of Jamaat-ul-Dawa, Hafiz Sayeed, announced with pride that Lashkar terrorists led the protest marches in Kashmir and instigated the mob to attack the camps of security forces and Police stations. A defence analyst while talking to Early Times said, "The Government of India and the State Government should take a serious note about Malik reaching Tral, which is considered to be the hot bid of terrorism, and addressing a rally there. People like Yasin Malik are threat to national security and they should not be allowed to move freely." He said, "If people like Malik are allowed to carry on with their activities it can lead to a few more youth losing the way and getting misguided. This man (Malik) is trying to revive terrorism in Kashmir to appease his bosses and the political establishment is aware about it. If the PDP-BJP want to run the government smoothly then both the parties would have to sit together and ensure that elements like Yasin Malik are put behind bars." Malik during his speech at Tral made it clear that separatists would keep on issuing protest calendars and people should follow it. "On one side they want to glorify terrorism while on the other hand they want to rule the streets of Kashmir. One hopes government wakes up before it's too late," said an analyst. |
