District administration acts, demolishes concrete structure on state land | ET Impact | | Arun Trisal Early Times Report Kathua, Nov 22: Day after a news was highlighted by Early Times that despite Supreme court's direction and redirected by state government, district administration Kathua and concerned departments failed at all ground to vacate encroached land in district Kathua, district administration today got active and launched anti-encroachment drive that started from khasra no.14 of Chak Draba Khan, Kathua. The land was encroached by one Liaqat Ali Gujjar.A team under the supervision of Avtar singh Tehsildhar Kathua and Addl SP Khalil Poswal rushed on the land and demolished a concrete structure constructed on state land. Number of notices was given to encroacher earlier. On the occasion, Avtaar Singh confirmed about demolishment and informed that the structure was constructed by Liaquat ali few days back, district administration warned the person and issued notices to vacate the state land but when he did not withdraw himself, a team under the supervision of DDC Kathua launched a drive and demolished constructed structure on Khasra no. 14 of drab Khan. The officer said," 1900 kanal land have been vacated so far and drive will continue in days to come as no one will be spared who attempts to encroach state land. He added that the law & order was meant for one and all. Khalil Poswal Addl SP informed that district administration sought security forces for the drive and Police department provided apposite security arrangement. He added that this person encroached same land 3 times earlier but administration vacated the land. He informed that few mischievous elements tried to create problem but now everything was congenial. He said, "either politician or civilian, nobody will be tolerated who encroached any of government land and legal action will be initiated against him. |
