Crore of rupees embezzled in Loran CD block, politicians allegedly involved RDD scams 11/29/2016 9:57:58 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, Nov 29: Although former government has organised the Constituency Development blocks in the state to develop the state on grass root level, but staff deployed in these CD blocks have made crore of rupees scams in the panchayats. In one of that kind, CD block Loran is famous. According to the sources the block Development Officer, Panchayat Secretaries, GRSs and locals level politicians are involved in this scams. Sources informed Early Times that the performance of the developmental works in all panchayats of Loran is zero, while crore of rupees funds had been released. They allegedly said that the officials and local level politicians had disbursed crore of rupees for developmental work in documents, but on ground all the paths are waiting for works. Locals alleged that the cement has been bargained away by the department while tiles are distributed among the paramours. They allegedly said that the officials are now forcing the locals to construct the tiles paths by using soil instead of cement. Wali Mohammed Sheikh a local in this regard said while locals approached BDO in this regard, he along with his other officials threatened locals to involve in some criminal case. While visiting to BDO Loran sources found BDO office closed in the working hours. Locals also alleged that the office of the BDO remain often closed resulting which the people suffered a lot. They appealed to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, RDD minister and concern authorities to intervene in the matter and conduct an inquiry and take strong action against officials.
