AVBP criticizes discriminatory attitude of JKPSC | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 29: Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Paishad (ABVP) on Tuesday criticised the recruitment agency- Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) for biased and discriminatory attitude with Jammu based candidates in recently released selection list of Assistant professors. Addressing the media person, ABVP State Joint Secretary Abhinav Pandotra alleged that in various selection lists huge preference has been given to aspirants from Kashmir province in recently released selection lists in subjects like History, Biotechnology, and M.C.A and earlier in Physics and English. He further added that during short listing of candidates, majority of candidates are from Jammu province but during general selection list, the scenario changed and Kashmir aspirants get selected in majority. Abhinav said that the open category candidates are the worst sufferers as most of the selected candidates from open category are from Kashmir province. Apart from that the malafide intent of JKPSC can gauged from the fact that even deserving category candidates are debarred from their right to compete in open category just to accommodate more aspirants in open category from Kashmir Province. He further demanded that there should be reserved numbers of seats for general category students of Jammu and Ladakh regions. Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretaries Bhawna Bharti and Piyush Khajuria were also present in the press conference. |
