EDLWU seeks compensation for family of deceased lineman

JAMMU, Nov 29: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Lineman and Workers Union has condoled the demise of need base worker line man Mohammad Saleem, besides demanded compensation or the family of deceased lineman.
A meeting of Union was held under the chairmanship of Vijay-Gupta on Saturday in which several union leaders were present.
Mohammad Saleem son of Abdul Rashid worked in Power Development Department (PDD) as a line man on need base basis and he died day before yesterday in Banihal due to electric shock.
The union has demanded strict action against the culprits who were responsible for the death of lineman and Rs. 10 lakhs compensation to the deceased's family.
Meeting was attended by Anil Singh Slathia, Ashiq Hussain, Tara Chand, Girdhari lal, Surinder Kumar, Kartar Nath and others who attend the meeting.
