Hardcore criminals arrested with Pistol, sharp-edged weapon | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29: Continuing its drive to put check upon criminals, Miran Sahib police today claimed to have arrested two hard core criminals and recovered a Chinese pistol and sharp-edged weapon from their possession. Police said, "The accused have been identified as Babar Choudhary son of Mohd Sayeed of Chak Mohd Yar (driver) and Mohd Ameen alias Babloo of Darsopur." "On specific information, Miran Sahib Police today raised a special naka near Darsopur and during naka checking one Baleno car bearing registration umber JK02N-8654 was signaled to stop for checking, police spokesperson said. He said, "On seeing the Police, the driver of vehicle tried to escape but alert naka party nabbed the two occupants of car identified as Babar Choudhary and Mohd Ameen alias Babloo, said police spokesman adding that during search, police party recovered one Chinese Pistol with magazine from Babar Choudhary and one Bayonet (sharp edge knife) from Mohd Ameen. In the connection, a case under FIR No- 173/2016 under section 3/25 and 4/25 of Indian Arms Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and further investigation of the case is going on. Both the arrested ersons are hardcore riminals and are involved in many other criminal cases. It is learnt during preliminary enquiry from accused that they were on the way to conduct some criminal activities and their arrest by police averted a big tragedy. Police sources further aid that the duo was also involved in drug paddling. Spokesperson said that arrest was made by Police Party headed by Inspector Pawan Kumar SHO Miran Sahib while whole operation was conducted under the close supervision of SDPO R S Pura, Surinder Choudhary. |
