Jammu, Nov 29: An urgent meeting was held at Krishi Bhawan Director of agriculture Jammu under the banner of Jammu & Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association regarding delay the salary issues faced by 2nd Phase and 3rd Phase VAEA's respectively. The meeting was addressed by Dr Surinder Radotra state president of association JKATA. Dr Surinder Radotra State President of Association JKATA warned the state government to release the salary of agriculture technocrats VAEA very soon failure should trigger new wave of agitation and if not conclusive we should sit on fast on to death once again to awaken the sleeping government. Dr. Surinder Radotra said that the most of 2nd and 3rd phase VAEAs are posted outside their native districts so some have to take rented accommodations and some are travelling in public transports on daily basis to their respective station of duty. Dr. Radotra said we can't understand how they are managing their travels and home expenses as they are without salary for 18 months for Phase 2nd. And 8 months for phase 3rd.VAEAs.Dr. Radotra again stressed upon the government to release salary of all VAEA's which has not been released for the last 20 months. It is highly deplorable and condemnable when the inflation is sky rocketing and technocrats too are bearing the brunt of price rise and are running from pillar to post to meet their both ends find themselves in shambles and still finding it difficult to feed their families due to government apathy. Agriculture technocrats which can change the destiny of the country by bringing a new green revolution are themselves socially and economically downtrodden. |
