Overloading of passengers vehicles remain unchecked | | | Early Times Report MENDHAR, Feb 15: People and commuters here today complained that the authorities have failed to check the overloading in passengers Tata Sumo plying on different routes in this Sub Division Mendhar. The commuters alleged that the drivers were putting the life of the passengers to great risk by overloading. Residents from different villages said that almost on every route the overloaded buses ply with impunity. "The passengers are forced to hang on the back stairs of the Tata Sumo or settle on the roof." "There is shortage of Tata Sumo , which compels the passengers to travel overload," Tahir Ahmed said, adding that the drivers were taking undue advantage of the inadequate number of Tata Sumo . "Traffic cops can be seen standing on roads watching as mute spectators the overloaded tatsumo " Tahir Ahmed , a local said demanding senior officers to take note of problem and to keep check on overloading. |
